Ventures Platform Fund Invests in African startups

Ventures Platform Fund has added three more startups which includes Nigerian based startups, Funnel Joy and Brass and also Tambua Health of Kenya to its portfolio.

The fund which invests in over 30 startups. The fund’s backing goes to startups that offer different products and services such as healthcare, agriculture, education, and financial services.

Funnel Joy is a tool for online commerce. Entrepreneurs are able to use this tool to capture, convert as well as sell their products to customers on an online platform.

Other than the Ventures Platform investment, Ingressive Capital had offered a pre-seed investment worth $100,000 to the startup at the beginning of this year.

Funnel Joy which utilizes a “simple drag and drop tool” has attracted a vast number, of digital entrepreneurs. The majority of its clients are from Europe and the US.

Brass is a digital banking platform for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs). It is a startup that helps SMBs grow and succeed in their operation.

Tambua Health which conducts lung imaging using auditory analysis helps in the treatment of respiratory infections.

Its T-sense device is placed on the patient’s back where it is able to detect sound vibrations as they inhale and exhale and build images of the same. This helps in the early diagnosis and treatment of respiratory diseases.

Other startups that have benefitted from Ventures platform funding include Thrive Agric, Reliance HMO, Printivo, and Paystack among others.
